Pammy

Created by Roger one year ago

I first met Pam when she was 15 and I was her big sister’s boyfriend.  She was always ready with a smile and kind words (a quality that she never lost). She was the perfect bridesmaid when Sue and I got married 12 months later.  Over the years I was able to watch her grow into the young woman who had a world of possibilities open to her and she embraced them all with her customary smile and kindness.

She was very close to both Elizabeth and Caroline when they were born and as they grew up. She was always Pammy to them and our grandchildren.

On holidays here in Cornwall I will always remember her planning to go crabbing or rock pooling at the first opportunity, usually with one or all of the children with her and making sure no one fell in!

She was devoted to her family and I particularly remember when we all met up in Conway for a meal and drink last summer at the waterfront on a lovely hot day and we all talked and laughed about all manner of things. Pam had the ability to get everyone to smile and feel relaxed which is no doubt why she was so good at her job.

She will be sadly missed but will always be remembered for her love, friendliness and kindness and her name… “Pammy”.
