I feel so lucky to have great memories with the best Aunty you could ever wish for, and so sad that we didn't get to create more. Aunty Pammy has always been there, throughout my childhood, through the big life events and the smaller moments inbetween.
Growing up I remember fun days out with her, riding around Congleton in the back of 'Boo Boo', regular family get togethers, and visiting her in London. Then it would be trips to Wrexham, sleepovers, shopping, board games - always having fun and being spoilt.
I remember it felt so special for Elizabeth and I to be bridesmaids for Aunty Pammy and Uncle Andy, and the excitement when we got some cousins! She was so very proud of Nathan and Adam, and it was lovely to spend time with them growing up.
After a fair bit of nagging from Pammy about my love life (which only an Aunty could get away with!) I was so pleased to introduce her to my Adam, and in the photos of our wedding in 2012 she is beaming and showering us with confetti.
After having two boys myself, Rory and Tommy, and a career in HR, we had a lot in common and despite the distance always stayed in touch. We had a few lovely visits to Wrexham and a highlight of our year was the Stewarts visit to Fowey (much has been said about her love for crabbing and rock pooling!).
As a Great Aunty, Pammy was in her element, and the children love her dearly. We regularly shared updates, laughs, photos and the boys sent her their crafty creations. She was always on hand with wise words, warm wishes, parcels in the post and 'love to you and the boys 😘'.
We will miss her, but she will be remembered everyday. As well as the memories, our house is full of little reminders of her generosity, love and kindness, from cake plates, dishes and vases to the books, toys and games Rory and Tommy still treasure.
Aunty Pammy has always been a huge part of our family, a warm presence beside us and in our hearts, and always will be. When we saw her last she smiled and said 'love you guys'. Love you too Aunty Pammy.
